Our Services Include:

eDiscovery

We offer solutions utilizing established and court approved procedures to identify, preserve, manage, collect, and analyze to create reports on electronic type documents that comply with Federal Regulations of Civil Procedure. Changes to the Federal Rules of Civil Procedures were enacted because clear rules and processes were needed to address the unique characteristics of information that is created and stored electronically.  The rules were established to govern the protocol governing the collection, preservation and production of information for legal discoveries in Federal cases.  The new rules for “discovery” of electronic evidence will have a profound effect on the way organizations manage electronic records.  It is expected that the Federal Rules will be enacted at both the State and Municipal levels in the near future.  eDiscovery, or electronic discovery, is the digital method of presenting document discovery.  Understanding, collecting, analyzing, presenting and storing electronic data is the 21st century challenge for attorneys, clients, corporations, technical advisors and courts.  Our vast knowledge of eDiscovery provides you with solutions for handling all digital data types including electronic mail, file metadata, online chat logs, Word Perfect/Lotus Notes/MS Office, accounting records, internet cache and just about every other type of computer generated data.  Organizations across all industry sectors will need new procedures to find and disclose relevant digital data.  Changes were made to formally align legal process with the current business design known as Electronically Stored Information [ESI].  The volume of ESI is growing at an exponentially greater rate than the volume of paper records.  ESI may need to be retrieved, restored or translated before it can even be reviewed.  For civil litigation in Federal Courts, the changes set out specific and detailed processes organizations must follow.

Data Recovery

Electronic data can be recovered from media (hard drive) that is not recognized by your software.  A multitude of issues can cause the hard drive or media not to be recognized such as the hard drive clicking or circuit card component malfunction or less serious issues such as the hard drive being formatted or files being deleted. In any case, Computer Forensics Worldwide, Inc. provides professional, certified experts experienced and proven in recovering lost partitions, recreating volumes and recovering failed RAIDs.  We use the latest Clean Room technology and the very latest electronic data recovery techniques.

Computer Forensic Analysis

We are experts in finding data that has been lost or intentionally removed and establishing date and time analysis of computer files.  The examination of the media also extends to password recovery and e-mail analysis.  If your company has computer servers that can’t be shut down we have the tools and technology to conduct a forensic examination on a live network and recovery of evidence from them in accordance with court approved techniques.  This procedure eliminates network downtime for the company and financial loss.

Intrusion Forensics

Because these types of investigations are time critical you should call the experts at Computer Forensics Worldwide, Inc immediately.  We offer 24/7 incident response if you believe that your computer/system is being or has been compromised.  This emergency response support is necessary to insure that you preserve critical and volatile data, logs and electronic type evidence that can be used to identify the intrusion.  We will perform a complete analysis of your system to further identify the files compromised, track the intruder and preserve the necessary evidence for court purposes. We have the latest tools in detecting Trojans, Malaware and Viruses.  We will be there for you as long as necessary conducting round the clock investigative and forensic analysis.  The 24/7 availability services is only being offered to clients that have a current yearly contract.

Penetration Testing

Also known as “ethical hacking”.  After being contracted by the owners of the network/electronic data, CFW employees can be hired to hack into computer systems as a proactive measure to evaluate corporate information security.  This method provides the client with information about vulnerabilities in their network and will help protect the electronic data eliminating unseen threats, prevent financial loss, company image and unnecessary civil litigation.

Litigation Support

If you have a case that involves any kind of electronic data it is very important and essential that you consult a computer forensic professional.  We will review your case and offer consultation services that will allow you to WIN your case in court.  In cases involving the existence or knowledge of a particular fact, evidence can be found in the most unsuspecting areas.  We can determine such things as who, what, when, where and why a file was written or deleted. Computer Forensics Worldwide, Inc. routinely signs Non-Disclosure Agreements.

Investigative Support

All CFW employees are either current or former Federal Special Agents or Detective Police officers with extensive investigative experience as well as real world law enforcement experience.  We are trained to collect and preserve electronic data using court approved validated tools and techniques.  We provide expert analysis of all data collected and are ready to provide court approved “expert” verbal testimony in court proceedings, to include trials and depositions.
